Add in the wage gap (in the United States, women make approximately $0.79 for every $1.00 men make) and women are definitely at a distinct disadvantage. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hair products (48% more), haircuts (25% more), and razors (11% more) topped the list as some of the more egregious discrepancies, along with one that particularly concerned us – in 2002, women paid <\/span>27% more<\/span> than men for the laundering of a white cotton shirt.
