Every year new styles and trends are introduced by designers and fashionistas. People eagerly wait for these new trends and styles so they can try them all. These trends can vary from sophisticated to shoddy or from elegant to totally bizarre ones. Some of these styles are practical and can easily be worn in daily life while others are impractical and can only be seen on the runway. 2017, just like any other year focused on some of throwback trends from ‘80s. A few unusual styles that were seen on runways and fashion events some of which are inspired by the ‘80s and ‘90s. Some of them are:
- Embellished eyes
Embellished eyes were very popular in fashion events and runways. Usually usage of stone and bright jewels seems nice but when they were too close to the eyes it appeared weird and unusual. Another unusual looking trend are the double sided boots. These were introduced by a designer named Shayne Oliver. These boots seem as if they are mutation made as a result of an experiment. These shoes were very popular in many runways and fashion events including the New York Fashion week and Milan fashion week.
- Faux Freckles
Freckles were considered a flaw and a sign of ugliness. But now freckles have become a beauty trend that everyone is eager to try. People are either enhancing their freckles or making fake ones. This strange trend was also supported by fashionistas in various fashion events and on runways.
- Trouser suits
Many people think that return of the trouser suits on the fashion runway is indeed peculiar as most of the time these are best suitable solely for business purposes. Many designers including Raf Simons and Alexander Wang showcased trouser suits in the New York Fashion week.
- Wearable gift bag
Another unusual look of 2017 fashion runway were the huge bag dresses on which the name of brand was written. These dresses looked as if models were wearing huge gift bags. Many famous designers followed this trend including Vaquera for their fall 2017 collection.
- Crocs
Another unusual look on the 2017 runway were crocs. It is because crocs are famous for providing comfort. This season famous designers like Christopher Kane used marbled jeweled Crocs at the London fashion week. Other famous designers like Thornton Bregazzi also used funky platform sandal accessorized leather bows at London fashion week.
