There are different kinds of jeans available in the market. If you want to look good in jeans it is very essential that you select jeans according to your body type. Below are a few body types and the kind of jeans that suit them:

  1. An hourglass body type

If you have an hourglass body shape then it is suggested that you should go with high-waisted jeans or stretch denim.  High waisted jeans help you balance your body shape and give an illusion of a slimmer body. It is advisable that you do not go with coveralls, overalls and flared jeans.  It is because this draws attention to hips and hide waist.

  1. Petite body type

Individuals with petite body images can easily choose any type of jeans but it is recommended that they choose jeans that focus on their legs. So it advisable for them to go for high-waisted jeans or pants or with low rise as it shows off their petite body. It is recommended to avoid baggy jeans as it will look loose on their fragile figure.

  1.  Pear-shaped body type

These kinds of bodies have more weight on the rear end such as the legs and hips. It is advisable that individuals with pear-shaped body type wear mid-rise jeans as these flatter their body type best. They can also go with moderate skinny jeans as it gives them a sleek look and compliments the curvy area of their body. It is preferred that they avoid high-waisted jeans as it may make their legs look shorter.

If you are tall then it is advisable to go for low-rise pair of jeans as these allow them to show-off their long legs. They can also go for boot cut, flared or skinny jeans. It is advisable to avoid inseams and knee breaks as these may make the legs look odd.

  1. Apple-shaped body type

For apple-shaped bodies, it is recommended to hide the fat on one’s stomach and show off the nicely shaped hips. For this purpose it is advisable to go with mid-rise or trouser jeans as these type of jeans help the body look proportionate.

  1. Plus-size body type

Girls with curvy bodies should be very careful while selecting jeans. They should make sure that the jeans style they select should hug all the right curves in all the right ways. It is advisable to go for stretch or high waisted jeans and do not go for rigid jeans as it will not contour with the body.

  1. Athletic body type

If girls have a well-tone toned body or an athletic body it is advisable to go for flared or boot cut jeans as these types of jeans are tight fitted on the thigh and bum area but loose around the lower legs and ankles. It is suggested to avoid rigid, tight fitted or low rise jeans as they may not suit the well-toned muscles.
