With only one month till the start of 2019, most stylists and trend setters are eager to know what to expect in the coming year. They are discussing the main themes and trends that will likely be affecting their lifestyle, wardrobes and interior design. The main retailers have been working on these trends since the very start of the 2018 year. Keep reading if you want to know what fashion trends expected to be very popular in 2019.
- Seasonal Versatility
Since the last few years, trans-seasonal designs were amongst the top fashion trends. This year it’s expected that dresses will be more adaptable to seasonal conditions. This is great news as it keeps the current climate conditions in mind; consumers are inclined to travel all over the world and it’s expected that the 2019 climate change will be profound. As such, they’ll need to have outerwear for every season on hand, which means that clothes with changeable linings, detachable sleeves or hoods and waterproof designs will be making an appearance in the coming year. A perfect example of seasonal versatile clothing is the heated jacket. It comes with a battery of 12V, which can be used for charging phones and keeping the wearer warm.
- Formal Wear
Over the last few years, the difference between formal wear and casual wear has begun to decrease. The main reason for the blurred distinctions is that there are more relaxed work dress codes as well as a rise in home lifestyles and an increase in athleisure wear. It is expected that formal wear will be different due to their more rebellious look. This look will be created with the inclusion of oversized blazers, joggers and streetwear bottoms.
- Gladiator Sandals
Most stylists are expecting gladiator sandals to be back in 2019 though these sandals have not been a part of popular fashion since the early 2000s.
Most designers expect that the gladiator sandal will be knee high and will have a similar look to knee high boots. This trend made its debut in the 2018’s spring/summer fashion walks of key designers including e Dolce and Gabbana, Valentino and Altuzarra.
- Clothes designs
A sheer cloth is expected to be in huge demand in the summer of 2019 though checked cloth will disappear from the Fashion world after the winter of 2018. This is despite the fact that popular designers including Peter Pilotto, Victoria Beckham and Sonia Rykiel are using checked designs for their shirts, dresses, pants, jackets and caps.
We are definitely looking forward to 2019 fashion trends! Fashionistas believe that there will be a blast from the past with designers revisiting trends that were popular in the 90’s, which is great news for all the millennials out there! With so much to look forward to we are definitely hoping for the next couple of years to fly by!
